崔子范于1915年3月生于山东省莱西市崔家埠村。他自幼喜欢美术，上中学时曾随张子莲先生学习过中国画。抗日战争爆发，投笔从戎，历任党政军的重要职务。全国解放后，又拜齐白石为师，并在北京中国画院工作了二十三年，直至退休。1991年，他被国务院评为“对文化艺术有突出贡献的画家”。
崔子范在艺术上走过一条艰难、曲折的道路。早在50年代，他拿着作品向齐白石老人请教时，白石老人就赞誉他的画为“真大写意”。虽然没有进过专业院校，但凭他在画院长期的耳濡目染和对艺术真谛百折不挠的追求，直至60岁以后终于创出了一个新的天地，其作品才引起画坛注目。从此，其创作激情一发而不可收。在70岁高龄时又进行了了新的变法，使他的大写意花鸟画进入一个更高的层次，阔步走向世界。
生活是艺术的源泉。他的每幅作品，无不给人们以浓郁的生活气息和乡情的亲切感，而又具有一股雄健、大气磅礴之势。这不能不联系到崔子范曲折、丰富的生活经历和他对祖国、对乡土的深恋之情。多年来，他为国家的教育、公益事业捐款300余万元；为发展美术事业向中国美术馆、崔子范美术馆慷慨捐赠精品国画作达300余幅。他对这种感情不暇雕饰，而是通过艺术形象坦诚地抒发，使其高层次的艺术形象和真挚的感情内涵完美地统一起来，使其作品更真实、更典型、更能震撼人心。
他的画具有浓厚的时代气息和丰富的内涵，他的艺术使我国意象花鸟画走上了新的里程碑。
MR. Cui Zifan
Cui Zfan was born in Cui Jiabu village, Laixi city in March
1915. He likes fine arts when he was still a boy. He stuied
Chinese paintingfrom Zhang Zilian in middle school. when
Anti-Japanese War brokeout, he renounced the pen for the sword,
and served as an importantmember in Party, government and army.
After the national libertion, he became a student of Qi Baishi.
He worked 23 years in China Art Academy until retired. In 1991,
he was chosen as " painter with prominent contributions to
culture and arts " by the State Council.
Mr. Cui experiedced a lot of difficulties and setbacks on the
way of art. As early as the fiftes, when he consulted famous Qi
Baishi hispaintings, Qi Baishi praised his painting was "Zhenda
Xieyi". Although he was never trained professionally, he learned
painting skills by viewing famous art works when he was in Cihna
Art Academy. Finally he created his new art field after 60 years
old. His works drew attention in paiting circle. He is a
passionate paiter. At the age of 70 he keeps searching for new
means of artistic conceptions, which made his paintings to a
higher level and known to the world.
Life is a source of art. Each of his paintings is full of the
interesting and joy. This cannot but related to Mr. Cui's rich
expeiences of life and his love of motherland. For so many
years, he had donated more than 3 million yuan to the education
of his hometown and public welfare. Mr. Cui donated more than
300 paintings to Chinese Art Museum and CuiZifan Art Gallery for
developing fine arts. He integrated his sicere feeling into his
paintings and his stule is realistic, typical and profound.
His paintings art works expressed the spirit of the times and
certain concept. His works made the flower and brid painting
with impressionistic styles to a new era. |
